Our Commitment

At Sparsh, privacy is not just a feature; it's the foundation of everything we build. Transparency is the standard we hold ourselves to across our entire ecosystem. This policy outlines exactly how we handle your data and why certain permissions are required to provide a seamless, secure social experience.

App Permissions & Usage

To function correctly and provide the best possible experience, Sparsh requires the following sensitive permissions. We only use these permissions for the specific purposes listed below, and we never process this data in the background:

Mesh Network & Connectivity (Location & Nearby Devices)

Required for our offline-first protocol. We use Bluetooth, Wi-Fi Direct, and Location services strictly to discover nearby devices and route local Flares. We do not track, map, or store your persistent movement history.

Camera & Microphone

Necessary for creating media and real-time communication. The camera is accessed only when you actively capture photos or videos within the app, and the microphone is required exclusively for voice messages.

Storage & Media

Required to save received files and to select existing photos or videos from your device's gallery to share with your network. Access is limited only to the media you choose.

Contacts Access

Used strictly locally on your device to help you identify existing connections for secure communication. Your contact list is never uploaded, stored, or analyzed on central servers to build follower graphs.

Data Sovereignty & Security

We believe in absolute user data sovereignty. Sparsh operates on a decentralized network architecture with privacy and security at its core. Your private communications are end-to-end encrypted and are never stored on central servers. In our mesh-based environment, your data remains entirely yours.

Diagnostics & Improvement

Our commitment to fairness and transparency. Any diagnostic data, crash logs, or bug reports we may process are used exclusively to improve platform stability and the user experience. We do not harvest background data, we do not monetize diagnostic information, and we do not share it with third parties.

Policy Updates

As we continue to build a better, more resilient platform, our features and technologies will evolve. We may update these policies from time to time to reflect those improvements. We encourage you to review this page periodically so you always know exactly how your data is protected.
